The Season of Giving Dinner scheduled for November 17, 2016 is cancelled.

We will continue the charitable support of micro Ohio organizations at the 2017 OSTA Annual meeting. Budget pressures to insure the future of the OSTA, changes in sponsorship funding, increased demands on volunteer hours, and narrow membership participation, have led to the difficult OSTA Board decision (OSTA Board meeting 8/30/16).

The OSTA Board also voted (8/30/16) to provide only one annual meeting per year. The decision discontinues the regional meeting, and the Season of Giving Dinner. As stated before, will continue the charitable support of micro Ohio organizations at the 2017 OSTA Annual meeting. We will re-review the charitable amount to be given at the annual meeting, after the 2017 sponsorship drive is pledged. We hope the single meeting format improves meeting attendance, and the quality of the venue for the meeting. The exact Annual meeting date will be reviewed as to not conflict with other affiliates meetings, and the June index rebalance trade desk staffing needs.

The investment management industry, and the landscape of Ohio investment management businesses are changing. The Ohio STA needs to adapt to the changes in funding and the industry.   The recent changes will strengthen the OSTA for the future in difficult environment. The Board meeting was contentious with many strong opposing views, but the final decisions are best for the future of the Ohio Security Traders Association.
